Ken is actually my third driving instructor and I am so glad I eventually found him. Ken is very patient, very knowledgable, skilled and above all a very caring instructor. I don’t do very well with my nerves and Ken was always able to talk me through them and helped me passed on my first test.
I work rota hours and Ken was always very flexible with my times. I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with him as Ken is very friendly and fun too! I will definitely recommend Ken to anyone that wants to learn, whether you’re a new learner or looking to start driving again. Thank you so much Ken!
Patient, friendly and funny! I couldn’t imagine having a better driving instructor. He made me feel very comfortable and was more of a friend than a teacher. I would highly recommend him to any and everyone who wants to learn to drive with one warning; when I passed my test I was equally happy that I passed and sad that I wouldn’t get to drive with Ken again.

If you are looking for a friendly relaxing driving instructor then ken is the best person for the job. He was very calming when i got frustrated and taught in a manner which was very understandable even for a beginner, i was able to pass first time with the knowledge and instructions that ken gave me and would never think twice about recommending him to others learning to drive

Ken was simply the best. His casual, relaxed and knowledgeable manner really helped me learn how to drive safely and properly on the road, whilst also making driving an enjoyable experience – something of which was needed for a nervous stresspot like myself! Ken took me from a being novice to passing my test first time, with only two minors, in a matter of a few months. He was a good independent instructor who taught extremely well, whilst also being very humourous and chatty in the car to put you at ease. Overall, Ken was a superb instructor and would definitely recommend to anyone who is learning how to drive.
Every lesson with Ken was enjoyable, friendly and relaxed. I particularly liked how he encouraged me to smile at my mistakes and not get frustrated if I did something wrong. I was such a nervous driver but the day of my test I just imagined Ken sitting next to me saying “just chill if u make a mistake just carry on as normal”. Following his advice I passed with flying colours. Without Ken as a driving instructor I don’t think I would have passed. He’s encouraging, calm and patient. Not only did he put up with me through things i found difficult such as reverse left which he taught me in different ways until i grasped it, but he really helped boost my confidence and state of mind which resulted in a joyful pass. I was terrible at independent driving but just to help me Ken spent a lesson dedicated to me trying to get to places by following directions myself. Ken doesn’t just teach you how to drive he makes learning how to drive fun with his amazing sense of humour. He makes you feel relaxed. I would definitely recommend him. An awesome driving instructor like Ken is rare to find.

I have had many driving instructors in my time and after many bad experiences I was ready to give up, but luckily I found out about Hamilton School of Motoring and I was put in touch with Ken and since the first driving lesson with him my confidence in driving went up and up until I felt ready to pass the test which was only a few months later. I give him 10 out of 10 for he is excellent in every way. He is patient, easy going, has a great sense of humour and explains himself in a concise and clear way, making things easy to remember. You couldn’t ask for a better driving instructor – Ken is the man to go to, whether you are just starting, or have already had a number of lessons. He is very relaxed, knowledgeable and patient. My lessons always covered a lot of key skills, built up my confidence and were good fun. After I felt I was ready to do my exam, Ken sorted it all out for me and I passed first time! I would definitely recommend Ken to anyone learning to drive.

Ken’s a great driving instructor with his thoughtful and calm approach. Having been with two other instructors beforehand, I felt Ken’s lessons were not only a great learning experience, but great fun too. Ken is the man if you want to learn how to drive properly. After failing my test three times I had lost all my confidence, felt hopeless and I thought that maybe driving was not for me. In one intensive week Ken changed my perspective, always pointing out that this is not about passing the test, but being a good driver. His attitude is great, he is patient and fun, respecting my limits and pushing for progress in a way that I didn’t feel scared. I have passed the test after 10 lessons and I have to say, I feel great. But more than that, I am now confident that I can drive, that I was not just “lucky” for having passed. I took my driving test twice last year with a different company, which knocked my confidence! On my last test my instructor was 30 minutes late, which didnt help! In February this year I decided to get back into it and try a different company. I came across Hamilton School of Motoring and as it had great recommendations and was reasonably priced I gave them a call. Philip was very polite, he asked what my needs were and made me feel at ease and excited to be learning again. I got a call from Ken my instructor to be 30 minutes later to start organising my lessons. Ken straight away made me feel confident and every lesson I came back with handy tips! I soon realised the quality difference from my previous instructor! Within weeks I had become a much better driver. Everything was recorded in his book so we knew what to work on. Today I took my test in rain and sunshine and passed with only one minor!! I cried with happiness! After finding out I was pregnant I decided to bite the bullet and learn to drive. I originally signed up with one company and booked a series of intensive lessons. However after only 3 lessons I was let down, and needed to find an instructor who could accommodate me and help me to learn to drive in less than 2 months. When I phoned Hamilton’s they said they had just the instructor who could help. Ken put me at ease right from the beginning giving me really useful tips, immediately instilling me with a sense of calm and confidence which was needed. Ken is a great instructor who pushed me just the right amount every lesson so I felt I had achieved something each time. Not only is he a great instructor but he is a genuinely nice guy, who was always punctual and polite.
